One day my aunt asked me about my future and I said, "I want to be a physicist!"
She looked at me and said, "there's no future for physicist, in Indonesia. Where do you want to work? LIPI?!"
She left me, and I said to myself, "sure! I AM going to CERN..."
I don't really know what am I going to do there. But, just CERN, Full stop.
In my early years of high school,
i turned my head, adoring such a technology so much. Aeroplane. I like it's beautiful curve. It's uniformly-white colour.
I'm not like other people sharing same interest with me that wonders how could such a big thing fly. It's not the major point for me. Well, it flies, that's why we call it an aeroplane. And about how it flies, that's matter fact what we call technology. You adore it because you can't understand it. If you really master it, there will be no more adoration on it.
The thing is, I really love planes.
I can't decide whether I love to design it, own some of it, or even just seeing it. But I said to myself "I'm going to take aero-astro."
This time my dad confront me: "where do you wanna work? Indonesia only have one plane manufacturer. And they've collapsed long time ago, if I'm not mistaken."
Why do people always worry of the future?
Are you doing something just to secure a place in such a company?
I was a good debater a the time. I ask lots of senior studying aero-astro, and receiving A to Z about working with aero-astro background. I answered my dad. And I'm sure about my choice. AERO-ASTRO, Full stop.
In my last days of high school,
I wanted to be a doctor. I love life science at the time. Adoring the creation of God, that His thought was even deeper than cells, deeper than DNA. I saw a doctor as the most powerful person in this world. With a signature of a doctor, a court-session could be called off. With a signature of a doctor, you could legally skip classes. What a power.
It was not all about the power. I found that it was a noble profession. Helping people, treating them that's more than just writing list of medicine on a sheet of paper called prescription. It's more than hearing. It's a profession that listen. And I like that. Therefore, I decided to be a doctor, Full stop.
I found an amazingly amazing image while I was about to check my e-mail through Yahoo! portal. The image was image captured by the Chandra X-ray Observatory. The observatory was named after an Indian-American physicist, Subrahmanya Chandrasekar, who is known for determining the mass limit for white dwarf stars to become neutron stars. Well, thanks to 3 astronomy classes in my uni. for the history!!

Red color represents low-energy X-rays, the medium range color is green, and the most energetic ones are colored blue. The blue hand-like structure was created by energy emanating from the nebula around the dying star namely PSR B1509-58. The red areas are from neighbouring gas cloud called RCW 80.

Stated that the Chandra Observatory, with its high energy X-rays emanating from nebula^ around one star called PSR B1509-58 that have been colored blue and reveal a structure that looks like a hand reaching for some eternal red cosmic light.
PSR B1509-58 was a tiny and dying star, but still powerful and spinning, lighting up it's surrounding. They usually call that kind of star with pulsar. The star was long ago collapsed in to a sphere just 12 miles (19,308 km) in diameter after running out of the fuel.
Since that that the star now spins around, as what every pulsars do, it now creates that amazingly amazing image.
What's That Actually?
Stong magnetic field, measured to be about 15 trillion times stronger that Earth's magnetic field, drives an energetic wind of electrons and ions away from the pulsar. And as the electrons move through the magnetized nebula, they radiate their energy as X-rays.
And the red light was actually a neighbouring gas cloud, called RCW 89, energized into glowing by th
e fingers of the recently stated pulsar.
The scene, which spans 150 light-years^^, is about 17,000 light years away. So, what we see now is how it actually looked 17,000 years ago. The thing is that the light was there 17,000 years ago, and to reach us here, the light needs 17,000 years. So, the scene captured was actually happened 17,000 years ago.
^NEBULA is a cloud of gas and dust in outer space, visible in the night sky either as an indistinct bright patch or as a dark silhouette against other luminous matter.
^^LIGHT-YEAR is a unit of astronomical distance equivalent to the distace that light travels in one year, which is 9,460,700,000,000 km.

Well, when i realized that i have to study these chapters in my more-like-encyclopedia physics-book, i alter it to an online learning ware from my iTunes..
You really have to check one called iTunes U at the iTunes store..
They have lotta videos and audio files for you to download. It was all lectures or informations of higher learning from Universities..
And i found one interesting from MIT.
They make an Open Course Ware which I found very useful during short times before exam. Helps you to review all the lectures in a efficiently-short time.
They have the physics lectures by Prof. Walter Lewin, an out-and-out lecturer.. well, he really -does, deserve that 'Professor' title in front of his name..
He explains all theories genuinely uncomplicated.. all tricky stuffs are like vanished.. he made also live demonstrations slightly after the explanations, just there.. inside the class..
absolutely different with what i experience here.. lecturers are usually explain the theories, give some sample problem, and that's all..
we in here really need to have a great mind's eye..

sampai akhirnya gw mengajukan teori gw sendiri (yg menurut gw adalah sebuah teori sempurna yang tak terbantahkan.. hehe..)
DAN akhirnya gw kumpulin dengan PD dahsyat juga..

gw yang ngerasa itu soal maut sebisa-bisanya, bertemu temen yang cengar-cengir:
Si A: ”Nggak ya nyangka soalnya gampang gitu..”
jlebbbbb.. whaaaatt??
Gw: “Gampang? Serius lo??”
Si A: “Iya, itu ada di buku semua, kn?””
Gw: *mikir* buku?? buku yg mana coba??
Si A berkata lagi: “Itu di buku edisi 2 semua, persis banget soalnya..”
Gw: *mikir lagi* FINE!! mine is 6th..
ternyata nggak selamanya punya hal yang paling up-to-date lebih baik..
ehem.. but the miracle’s in the air!! Thx, LORD!
yang tadi ada di buku edisi 2 itu, berhasil gw kerjain dengan BENAR! seenggaknya nunjukin gw gak bego2 amat.. hehe..

kalo gw nimpalin: “menurut teori gw..” kynya gak setara y.. akhirnya gw pulang aja..

membuktikan bahwa teori gw adalah BENAR dan TAK TERBANTAHKAN..

tapi emang sih.. menurut gw emang bener kok.. hoho.. =p

Kalo diitung-itung, UTSnya emang jam 7 malem.. mantaph!!
Univ mana coba yang ada kasi ujian malem2?? hehe..
